Datadog (NASDAQ:DDOG) reported a 36% year-over-year revenue growth in its latest quarter, attributed to accelerating demand from both AI-focused enterprises and broader enterprise customers. CEO Olivier Pomel stated the company has grown significantly since its 2019 IPO and currently holds approximately 13% to 14% share of the observability market, which is growing at rates between 15% to 30% annually.
The company emphasized that growth is not limited to AI companies; its non-AI customer segment has accelerated from 18% year-over-year growth a year earlier to over 20%. Datadog serves about half of the Fortune 500 and is strategically expanding its relationships with large customers.
Datadog continues to invest roughly 30% of its revenue into research and development, focusing on token costs, GPUs, and model training to enhance its offerings. The company is also developing its AI capabilities, including its Bits AI agent, while seeking innovative pricing strategies and maintaining a robust integration with existing open-source tools.
