Disney’s Experiences Segment Reports Record Earnings
Walt Disney’s experiences business segment achieved a record $3 billion in operating income on nearly $10 billion in revenue for the fiscal third quarter ending June 27, 2026. This segment, primarily driven by theme park and cruise line performances, contributed 54% of the company’s total operating income.
The experiences segment saw a 10% year-over-year revenue increase, while operating income rose by 20%. Admissions to Disney’s theme parks increased by 9%, leading to heightened spending on merchandise, food, and beverages.
Despite these strong results, Disney shares trade at approximately 16 times this fiscal year’s earnings estimate, below their historical average of 20 times, highlighting investor caution regarding the company’s broader mixed performance, including challenges in streaming and content costs.
