In early trading on Friday, Microsoft shares rose by 1.7%, making it the best performing component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Despite this uptick, Microsoft has experienced a year-to-date decline of approximately 13.9%.
Conversely, NVIDIA saw a drop of 4.1%, although it has shown an overall year-to-date gain of 21.2%. Other significant movements included Caterpillar, trading down 3.4%, and Salesforce, which increased by 1.6%.
