In today’s early trading, Caterpillar emerges as the standout, claiming the top position among the Dow Jones Industrial Average components, with a robust gain of 0.8%. Year to date, Caterpillar showcases an impressive 10.1% surge.
Conversely, the day’s worst performer in the Dow is Nike, stumbling down by 3.2%. Zooming out to the year-to-date performance, Nike wallows in a 5.4% decline.
Verizon and Apple in the Mix
Not to be outdone, Verizon Communications experiences a downturn of 1.8%, while Apple displays a modest uptick of 0.4% in today’s trading.
