In early trading on Wednesday, shares of Amgen rose 3.4%, making it the top-performing component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Year to date, Amgen has gained 6.9%. Conversely, International Business Machines (IBM) is the worst performer today, down 3.5% and showing a year-to-date decline of approximately 4.1%.
Other notable movements included Salesforce, which fell 2.9%, while Apple gained 2.2% during the session.
