The December 26 online auction from The Seam reported sales of 9,181 bales at an average price of 60.31 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index increased by 50 points to 74.00 cents.
In related commodities, crude oil futures climbed by $1.09 per barrel to $57.83, while the US dollar index held steady at 97.700. The Adjusted World Price for cotton was updated to 50.02 cents per pound, marking a slight rise of 3 points from the previous week. ICE certified cotton stocks remained stable at 11,600 bales as of December 26.
