Energy Fuels Inc. (UUUU) is positioning itself as a key player in the rare earths market amid U.S.-China tensions, particularly after China tightened export controls on rare earths. The company is leveraging its White Mesa Mill in Utah to enhance its production of rare earth materials, having produced a mixed rare earth carbonate since 2021. In 2024, UUUU increased its separated neodymium praseodymium (NdPr) production capacity to between 850-1,000 metric tons, with actual production reaching 38 tons.

Energy Fuels also achieved a significant milestone by producing its first kilogram of dysprosium (Dy) oxide at 99.9% purity in August 2025, aiming for commercial production of Dy, terbium (Tb), and samarium by late 2026. Phase 2 of their expansion plans include processing up to 60,000 tons of monazite per year, targeting an annual output of 4,000-6,000 tons of NdPr by 2028. UUUU shares surged 411.3% this year, greatly outperforming the industry average growth of 29.6%.
