SPDR S&P Biotech ETF Shows Strength, While Global X Copper Miners ETF Declines
In trading on Friday, the SPDR S&P Biotech ETF is leading the pack among exchange-traded funds (ETFs), with an increase of approximately 0.7% for the day. Notably, key components contributing to this upward momentum include Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, which is up around 13.1%, and Cytokinetics, rising by about 7.8% in the same trading session.
Conversely, the Global X Copper Miners ETF is lagging behind its peers, experiencing a decline of about 2.7% during Friday afternoon trading. Weak performance among its components has significantly impacted this ETF, with Taseko Mines falling by about 4.2% and Ero Copper down approximately 3.8% for the day.
