The State Street SPDR S&P 600 Small Cap Growth ETF (SLYG) experienced an atypical trading volume on Monday, with over 3.4 million shares exchanged, significantly exceeding its three-month average of about 124,000 shares. As of midday trading, SLYG’s shares declined approximately 1.9%.
Among the ETF’s components, Mara Holdings saw notable activity, trading down about 2.8% with over 15 million shares changing hands. Veris Residential gained about 12.2%, with more than 11.5 million shares traded. Tandem Diabetes Care performed best, up 12.3%, while Stepstone Group lagged, down 10.9%.
