The Vanguard Information Technology ETF (VGT) reported unusual trading activity on Wednesday, with over 1.5 million shares exchanged, significantly surpassing its three-month average of approximately 130,000 shares. The ETF’s shares rose by 1.5% for the day.
Key components driving this surge included Navitas Semiconductor, which surged 14% with more than 45.4 million shares traded, and Nvidia, gaining 0.8% on a volume of over 44.3 million shares. In contrast, Nextnav experienced a decline, trading down approximately 28.1%.
