Meta Platforms Earnings Report Insights
Meta Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ: META) is set to release its quarterly earnings on July 29, 2026. The company, with a market cap of $1.5 trillion, is projected to spend $135 billion on capital expenditures this year. Despite this growth, Meta’s stock has declined nearly 10% in 2026 and is 25% below its all-time high, reflecting investor concerns over heavy spending without a corresponding revenue stream from cloud computing.
As part of a strategic shift, Meta is reportedly exploring the creation of a cloud division, known as “Meta Compute,” to potentially sell excess computing capacity, similar to its competitors. Additionally, it is in discussions with AI startup Anthropic to lease up to $10 billion in computing capacity over the next two years.
Key metrics to watch during the earnings call will include daily active users across Meta’s platforms, which collectively serve 3.56 billion users, as well as trends in advertising revenue, critical for the company’s financial health. Investors will be keen to understand Meta’s future plans, especially in the context of rising capital expenditures in AI and cloud services.
