Key Financial Highlights: Nvidia and Amazon
Nvidia reported a 75% year-over-year increase in data center revenue in its most recent fiscal quarter, amounting to $62.3 billion, contributing to a total revenue of $68.1 billion. Forecasts for the upcoming fiscal first quarter project revenue of approximately $78 billion, indicating 77% growth.
Meanwhile, Amazon’s cloud sector, Amazon Web Services (AWS), recorded a 24% increase in sales to $35.6 billion in Q4, up from 20% growth in Q3. Overall, Amazon’s total revenue rose to $213.4 billion, with diverse operations across e-commerce and advertising sectors bolstering financial performance.
While Nvidia’s market valuation stands at 37 times earnings, Amazon trades at a more accessible 30 times earnings. Analysts express that Amazon’s diverse revenue streams could offer more durability against market cycles compared to Nvidia’s concentrated growth model.
