Pinterest, Inc. (PINS) has launched Visual Search Ads, a new advertising format aimed at connecting brands with consumers during product searches. The rollout is set to begin in the coming weeks for eligible advertisers, as the platform boasts over 80 billion monthly searches, with more than half exhibiting commercial intent.
Powered by Pinterest Intelligence, the new ads will appear in search results and pin closeups, leveraging AI to match visual cues with user intent. Additionally, the company will introduce features like Priority Products and self-serve A/B testing to enhance advertising control and effectiveness.
Pinterest’s stock has experienced a significant decline, falling 47.3% over the past year, while trading at a forward price-to-sales ratio of 1.94, below the industry’s average of 4.17. Earnings estimates for 2026 have increased by 5.6% to $2.06 in the last 60 days.
