SpaceX Public Trading Valuation
Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX), now trading under the ticker SPCX, has achieved a market valuation of approximately $2.5 trillion, positioning it alongside Amazon as the world’s fifth-largest company. This valuation follows its debut on public markets and raises questions regarding its sustainability, especially given its revenue figures for 2025 totaling $18.7 billion, up by 33% year-over-year.
Revenue Breakdown and Profitability
SpaceX’s revenue streams predominantly come from its connectivity division, which includes the Starlink internet service, contributing over half of the total revenue with a growth rate of 50% in 2025. In contrast, the space segment grew by only 8%, and its AI business, xAI, faced losses. Notably, SpaceX’s valuation reflects a staggering 130 times its trailing revenue, contrasting sharply with other major companies such as Microsoft and Taiwan Semiconductor, whose revenues significantly exceed SpaceX’s.
