Rocket Lab Corporation (RKLB) announced the launch of its new globally deployable system, GHOST, on August 10, 2026. This system will package launch infrastructure and ground support for orbital and suborbital missions and is set to debut at the Pacific Spaceport Complex in Kodiak, Alaska, with a planned suborbital launch in 2027.
The GHOST system aims to extend the operational capabilities of Rocket Lab’s Electron and HASTE rockets, allowing for greater geographic flexibility in addressing various missions, including time-sensitive national security requirements. The initial site will include two launch pads to facilitate high-frequency launches.
Rocket Lab’s expansion comes as demand for flexible space access rises, joining industry peers like Firefly Aerospace, Inc. (FLY) and Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SPCX) in enhancing launch capabilities to improve responsiveness to commercial and government missions.
