Exploring NOK’s Network Automation Potential and MSFT’s Impact on Profit Growth

Nokia Corporation (NOK) is enhancing its network automation capabilities through an expanded partnership with Microsoft Corporation (MSFT). This collaboration, announced recently, will create a unified data foundation aimed at enabling telecom providers to scale AI-driven operations more effectively across multi-vendor, cross-domain networks.

As part of the agreement, Nokia’s Data Suite will integrate with Microsoft Fabric, facilitating automated solutions like root-cause analysis and predictive maintenance in cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments. Initial applications include autonomous Voice over New Radio assurance, using AI to detect network anomalies and suggest corrective measures.

Nokia shares have increased by 123.6% over the past year, significantly outperforming the industry average growth of 20.6%. The company currently trades at a forward price-to-sales ratio of 2.42, which is below the industry average of 4.93.
