BlackBerry Limited continues its transformation from a smartphone manufacturer to an enterprise software and embedded-systems company, with its QNX division playing a central role. The QNX OS for Safety, certified to ISO 26262 ASIL D, has been selected by Momenta and XHEART for their autonomous driving platform aimed at global automotive markets. This partnership leverages Momenta’s autonomous intelligence, XHEART’s X7 automotive-grade SoC, and QNX’s safety-certified software to create a path from AI development to vehicle deployment.
In Q1 fiscal 2027, BlackBerry’s QNX generated $72.3 million in revenue, reflecting a 26% year-over-year increase. The company has raised its fiscal 2027 QNX revenue outlook to between $295-$312 million, up from $290-$307 million, and adjusted total revenue guidance to $594-$621 million.
Shares of BlackBerry have increased by 38.4% over the past three months, outperforming the Internet-Software industry which grew by 8.8%. The company’s price/book ratio stands at 6.7, exceeding the industry average of 4.36.
