NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA) is targeting sovereign artificial intelligence (AI) projects to expand its market presence, a segment where governments invest in domestic AI infrastructure. This shift is expected to enhance NVIDIA’s revenue streams as countries ramp up their AI capabilities, resulting in a record revenue of $81.6 billion for the first quarter of fiscal 2027, marking an 85% year-over-year increase. Data center revenues soared 92% to $75.2 billion, driven by demand for AI solutions.

NVIDIA has leveraged its comprehensive AI platform, including Blackwell GPUs and networking technologies, positioning itself as a key player in this burgeoning market. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for NVIDIA’s fiscal 2027 revenues stands at $387.84 billion, an anticipated year-over-year increase of 79.6%. Conversely, competitors like Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) and Intel Corporation (INTC) are also setting their sights on the sovereign AI space, with AMD reporting Data Center revenues of $5.8 billion, a 57% increase year-over-year in the first quarter of 2026.

NVIDIA’s stocks have risen approximately 10.8% year-to-date, while its forward price-to-earnings ratio is 19.31, below the sector average of 23.55. The company’s strong position in AI computing has garnered a Zacks Rank of #1 (Strong Buy), with projected earnings growth of about 91% for fiscal 2027.
