International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) has partnered with Google Cloud to expedite enterprise adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and enhance technology modernization. Announced recently, the collaboration will create a new Google Cloud Practice within IBM Consulting, utilizing IBM’s AI-powered Consulting Advantage platform alongside Google Cloud’s Gemini AI platform.
IBM plans to deploy thousands of Google Cloud-certified consultants to assist businesses in AI deployment, legacy systems modernization, and hybrid cloud management. This initiative targets various sectors, including banking, telecommunications, and life sciences, facilitating automation and decision-making improvements.
This strategic partnership aligns with IBM’s goals of strengthening its consulting and cloud capabilities while enhancing customer engagement to fuel long-term growth. IBM’s stock has seen a 4.7% increase over the past year, in contrast to the industry’s 218.9% growth. Currently, IBM trades at a forward price-to-sales ratio of 3.67, below the industry average of 6.18.
