South Wales has been designated a U.K. AI Growth Zone, with Nebius Group N.V. (NBIS) partnering with Vantage Data Centers to bring NVIDIA-powered AI infrastructure to Vantage’s CWL1 campus in Newport. The deal will lease high-density capacity for various AI applications and supports Nebius’ broader expansion in the U.K., which includes a planned £1.7 billion capacity buildout across four sites.
In the second quarter, Nebius reported a staggering 454% year-over-year revenue growth, backed by high-margin capacity sales. The company aims to reach 5 GW of contracted power by year-end, planning to deploy over 1 GW annually by 2027. Meanwhile, shares of Nebius have surged 204.7% year-to-date, outperforming the Internet – Software and Services industry, which has seen a growth of 21%.
