Exploring the Key Enhancements of Tesla FSD v14.3 for Drivers

Tesla, Inc. (TSLA) is set to release its next major update to the Full Self-Driving (FSD) system, version 14.3, with a broader rollout expected by late April 2024. Currently, Tesla vehicles equipped with Hardware 4 are running version 14.2.2.5. CEO Elon Musk has indicated that v14.3 will enhance decision-making capabilities and reasoning processes, targeting commonly reported issues like navigation.

In the past six months, Tesla’s shares have dropped by 16.9%, underperforming the Zacks Automotive-Domestic industry, which declined by 7.7%. The company trades at a forward price/sales ratio of 13.09, significantly higher than the industry average of 3.01. Meanwhile, analysts have revised the Zacks Consensus Estimate for Tesla’s 2026 EPS down by 13 cents over the last 60 days but have slightly improved the 2027 EPS estimate by 4 cents.

Additionally, Rivian Automotive, Inc. announced its Universal Hands-Free (UHF) system, expanding hands-free driving capabilities across 3.5 million miles of U.S. and Canadian roads, with an expected launch in early 2026. Lucid Group, Inc. is also planning to introduce a “mind-off” driving feature using advanced sensors, although it is not expected to debut until after 2026.
