Microsoft Leads in Agentic AI Market Growth
Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) is positioned to capitalize on the rapidly growing agentic AI market, which MarketsandMarkets projects will expand from $5.2 billion in 2024 to $52.6 billion by 2030. The company’s cloud infrastructure recorded a 26% year-over-year revenue increase to $51.5 billion in Q2 FY2026, with Azure services growing by 39% in the same period.
In addition, Microsoft’s AI platforms, including Azure AI Foundry and Microsoft Fabric, reported robust adoption, with Fabric reaching over $2 billion in annual revenue and 31,000 customers. The number of customers using Foundry with quarterly spending over $1 million increased nearly 80% year-over-year. Over 80% of Fortune 500 companies are using Microsoft’s AI tools, indicating significant enterprise adoption.
In Q2 FY2026, Microsoft achieved total revenues of $81.3 billion, a 17% increase year-over-year, while earnings per share rose 24% to $4.14. With nearly $89.5 billion in cash on hand, Microsoft’s financial position strengthens its ability to invest in AI growth initiatives.
