Micron Technology has secured long-term agreements with both Ford and General Motors to supply memory and storage solutions for their next-generation vehicles. The Ford agreement follows a similar deal with GM, highlighting Micron’s increasing significance in the automotive sector, where the demand for memory in vehicles is rising due to advanced driver-assistance systems and sophisticated infotainment platforms.
Micron anticipates that supply-demand conditions for DRAM will remain tight extending beyond 2027, thereby creating favorable pricing environments. The company reported that its DRAM segment accounted for 76% of total revenues, growing 67% sequentially. Additionally, Micron’s HBM revenues have surpassed $1 billion, with expectations of the HBM market reaching over $100 billion by 2027, supported by a robust AI infrastructure demand.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate forecasts a 234% year-over-year growth in fiscal 2026 sales and a significant earnings increase of 790% in the same period.
