**Ford Motor Company Reports Strong Financial Outlook**
Ford Motor Company (F) generated $3.5 billion in free cash flow in 2025, ending the year with nearly $29 billion in cash and close to $50 billion in total liquidity. For 2026, Ford anticipates adjusted free cash flow to rise to between $5 billion and $6 billion, boosted by an increase in automotive profits and expected tariff-related payments of about $1 billion from the U.S. government.
The Ford Blue segment projects EBIT between $4 billion and $4.5 billion for 2026, a significant increase from $3.02 billion in 2025. This growth is expected to stem from improved business performance and strategic cost reductions, which totaled $1.5 billion in 2025. Ford plans to achieve an additional $1 billion in industrial cost improvements by 2026.
In contrast, Rivian’s cash balance decreased from $5.3 billion in 2024 to $3.5 billion in 2025, highlighting ongoing cash burn despite capital expenditures projected between $1.95 billion and $2.05 billion for growth initiatives including new manufacturing and service expansion.
