Ford Records Highest Sales Since 2019 with Trucks, SUVs, and Hybrids Driving Growth

Ford Motor Company reported a 6% increase in U.S. vehicle sales for the year 2025, reaching a total of 2.2 million vehicles, marking its best annual performance since 2019. In December, Ford also achieved a 2.7% rise in sales compared to the previous year, with fourth-quarter sales surpassing 545,200 vehicles and an overall market share of 13.2%.

The Ford F-Series remained the best-selling truck in America, with sales hitting 828,832 units (up 8.3%). The Explorer was the top-selling SUV, with an annual increase of 14.7%, totaling 222,706 units sold. Ford’s electric vehicle sales reached 84,113 units, which included 51,620 Mustang Mach-E vehicles. Notably, the company sold a record 228,072 hybrid vehicles in 2025, a 21.7% increase from the previous year.

In contrast, General Motors saw a 7% decline in deliveries, totaling 703,001 vehicles in the fourth quarter, while Stellantis reported a 4% increase in fourth-quarter sales at 332,321 vehicles. Ford continues to leverage a balanced product strategy, combining traditional trucks, SUVs, and hybrids to cater to customers’ demand for fuel efficiency.
