Ford Motor Company is recalling approximately 604,533 vehicles in the U.S. due to potential windshield wiper motor failures, impacting 2020-2022 Explorer and Escape models, as well as Lincoln Aviator and Corsair vehicles. This decision follows another major recall issued just a week earlier, covering about 4.3 million pickup trucks and SUVs over software errors that could lead to brake malfunctions and exterior lighting failures.

Ford’s ongoing quality issues have raised concerns, as it issued over 150 recalls in 2022, the highest among major automakers. Despite these challenges, the company continues to see growth in its commercial segment, Ford Pro, which has seen a 30% increase in paid software subscriptions in 2025. Additionally, Ford is investing $1.5 billion in its Ford Energy initiative by 2026, targeting 20 gigawatt-hours of battery storage capacity by 2027.
