Garmin (GRMN) and Meta have developed an automotive OEM proof-of-concept that integrates Meta’s Neural Band and electromyography technology with Garmin’s Unified Cabin suite. This technology enables passengers to control certain vehicle infotainment functions using gestures made with their thumb, index, and middle fingers.
The new features of the Unified Cabin, showcased at CES 2026, include functionalities such as a digital key, an AI virtual assistant that can perform multiple actions from a single voice command, seat-specific audio and visuals, enhanced personalization options, Cabin Chat, a lighting show, and a Personal Audio Sphere.
