Among the underlying components of the S&P 500, Robinhood Markets Inc (HOOD) reported notable options trading volume on October 5, 2023, with 116,244 contracts exchanged, equating to approximately 11.6 million underlying shares. This represents 54.1% of HOOD’s average daily volume of 21.5 million shares, with significant activity centered on the $125 strike call option expiring on September 11, 2026, totaling 9,262 contracts or about 926,200 underlying shares.

Blackstone Inc (BX) also experienced heightened options activity, with 18,251 contracts traded, about 1.8 million underlying shares or 52.7% of BX’s average daily volume of 3.5 million shares. The $133 strike put option expiring on September 11, 2026, accounted for 2,446 contracts, representing roughly 244,600 underlying shares.

Texas Pacific Land Corp (TPL) saw an options volume of 1,888 contracts, translating to approximately 188,800 underlying shares, or 52.4% of its average daily trading volume of 360,285 shares. The $300 strike put option expiring on October 16, 2026, had 826 contracts traded, representing around 82,600 underlying shares.
