Significant options trading activity was reported today among Russell 3000 index components. Coinbase Global Inc (COIN) saw a total of 192,094 contracts traded, equating to approximately 19.2 million shares, which is 260% of its average daily trading volume of 7.4 million shares over the past month. Notably, 6,641 contracts for the $235 strike put option expiring on January 2, 2026, accounted for about 664,100 underlying shares.

In comparison, Amazon.com Inc (AMZN) registered an options volume of 823,094 contracts, equivalent to around 82.3 million underlying shares, marking 235.4% of its monthly average of 35 million shares. The $235 strike call option expiring January 2, 2026, experienced significant activity, with 47,324 contracts traded, representing 4.7 million underlying shares.

Meanwhile, GameStop Corp (GME) experienced options trading of 135,279 contracts, or roughly 13.5 million shares, representing 219.1% of its average daily volume of 6.2 million shares. The $21 strike call option expiring January 2, 2026, saw 8,864 contracts traded, amounting to 886,400 underlying shares.
