Highlights from Thursday’s Options Trading: ASO, HSY, ATEX

Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, notable options trading was observed today. Academy Sports & Outdoors Inc (ASO) reported a trading volume of 6,258 contracts, equating to approximately 625,800 underlying shares, or 42.2% of its average daily trading volume of 1.5 million shares. The most significant activity was for the $55 strike put option expiring February 13, 2026, with 2,146 contracts traded.

Hershey Company (HSY) also showed active options trading, with 7,919 contracts exchanged, representing around 791,900 underlying shares, which is 40.5% of its average daily volume of 2.0 million shares. The $220 strike call option expiring February 20, 2026, saw particularly high volume with 1,269 contracts traded.

Additionally, Anterix Inc (ATEX) recorded a volume of 1,367 contracts, corresponding to approximately 136,700 underlying shares, or 40.5% of its average daily trading volume of 337,710 shares. Notable trading was seen in the $30 strike call option expiring August 21, 2026, where 1,325 contracts were exchanged.
