Federally inspected hog slaughter for Tuesday reached 492,000 head, bringing the weekly total to 985,000 head, an increase of 6,000 head from the prior week and 5,337 head higher compared to the same week last year.
Closing prices for futures on December 25 were $80.825 (down $0.675), February 26 at $82.450 (down $0.950), and April 26 at $86.875 (down $1.125).
