Oklo Inc. has signed an agreement with Meta Platforms (META) to establish a 1.2-gigawatt advanced nuclear power campus in Pike County, Ohio. This agreement marks a significant step in developing energy solutions tailored to meet the increasing power demands of Meta’s data centers. Under a prepayment structure, Meta will finance early project phases, enhancing execution visibility for Oklo while linking development to long-term energy requirements.

Meta’s financial commitment aims to cover initial fuel procurement and Phase 1 development, with pre-construction studies set to begin in 2026 and anticipated initial power delivery by 2030. The project will expand its capacity towards 1.2 gigawatts by 2034, utilizing multiple Aurora powerhouse units across more than 200 acres of land previously owned by the Department of Energy.

In addition to its collaboration with Oklo, Meta is pursuing a broader nuclear strategy, partnering with Vistra Energy to secure electricity from existing nuclear plants and with TerraPower for future nuclear capacity. The agreements indicate Meta’s commitment to sustainable energy sources as it scales its infrastructure to support growing data center needs.
