In a sign of confidence amid a challenging market, CEOs from Alibaba Group, Klarna, and CoStar Group collectively purchased over $20 million in shares. These insider buys come as each company’s stock has faced significant declines in 2026, with Alibaba shares down more than 20%, Klarna down over 65%, and CoStar down approximately 50% year-to-date.

Alibaba’s CEO Eddie Wu and director Joseph Tsai invested over $15 million at around $14.30 per share, despite a 75% drop in net income year-over-year and ongoing profitability concerns. Klarna’s CEO Sebastian Siemiatkowski bought nearly $10 million worth of shares at $14.37 following a 22.8% drop due to disappointing growth outlooks. Additionally, CoStar’s CEO Andrew Florance purchased 83,000 shares at around $29.89, despite the company reducing its revenue growth guidance from 17% to 15% year-over-year.

Wall Street analysts show optimism for Alibaba, with a consensus price target forecasting a 60% rebound, emphasizing the need for improved adjusted EBITDA margins, which fell to 10% last quarter from 16% the previous year.
