Key Points

Anthropic is expected to finalize an initial public offering (IPO) by early November, potentially achieving a valuation of approximately $2 trillion. The company reported annualized revenue reaching $47 billion as of May 2026, significantly up from $14 billion earlier in February. Following a $65 billion Series H funding round, Anthropic’s valuation rose to $965 billion by May 28.

Amazon’s second-quarter earnings highlighted a net income increase of 244% year-over-year to $62.6 billion, partly due to a $53.4 billion pre-tax gain attributed to its investment in Anthropic, representing 2% of Amazon’s market cap. Similarly, Alphabet disclosed a $95 billion increase in other income, linking 2% of its $4.1 trillion market cap to gains from an undisclosed private investment, likely Anthropic.

Amazon holds a stake in Anthropic and has committed over $100 billion to AWS for computing resources, while Alphabet reportedly owns around a 14% stake and plans to invest an additional $40 billion. These investments, alongside new agreements for TPU capacity expansion, further solidify these companies’ positions in the emerging AI landscape.
