Tesla, Inc. (TSLA) will unveil its highly anticipated Roadster on October 1, 2026, in Waco, TX, more than eight years after the initial concept launch in 2017. The new model will incorporate Tesla’s “Cyber” design elements and will feature SpaceX-developed cold gas thrusters, promising acceleration from 0-60 mph in under one second with the thrusters engaged.
The production model was initially expected to debut on April 1, 2026, and aims for a 0-60 mph time of 1.9 seconds, a range of 620 miles, and a starting price of approximately $200,000. With design ambitions raised in 2024, CEO Elon Musk emphasized the Roadster as a one-of-a-kind vehicle that will set new standards in electric performance.
Currently, TSLA has lost 9.9% over the past six months, underperforming the broader automotive industry, which declined by 4%. Tesla’s forward price-to-sales ratio stands at 12.3, significantly higher than the industry average of 3.27.
