Apple’s laptop sales have risen by 6% year over year, reaching $8.4 billion in revenue for the most recent quarter, as the company reports growing demand from businesses for AI development. This surge comes despite concerns from investors that Apple was lagging in AI advancements.
During its earnings call on April 30, Apple CFO Kevan Parekh noted that enterprise customers, including AI firms like Perplexity, are increasingly choosing Mac as their primary platform for building AI applications. Freshworks is among companies that recently deployed over 5,000 MacBook Pro and Air laptops for AI projects.
