BlackBerry Limited reported a significant growth in its QNX segment, generating approximately $72 million in revenue during the fiscal first quarter of 2027, marking a 26% year-over-year increase. This growth indicates QNX’s pivotal role in software-defined vehicles and embedded systems, bolstering BlackBerry’s overall business outlook. In response to stronger-than-expected first-quarter results, BlackBerry raised its fiscal 2027 revenue guidance to a range of $594 million to $621 million, up from a previous estimate of $584 million to $611 million. First-quarter revenue reached around $153 million, exceeding management’s expectations, with adjusted EBITDA more than doubling year-over-year to approximately $36 million. The company anticipates positive operating cash flow of about $100 million for the full fiscal year, reflecting improvements in profitability and cash generation.
