Nvidia Earnings Overview
Nvidia’s data center revenue soared 56% year-over-year to $41.1 billion in the second quarter of fiscal 2026, contributing to an overall revenue growth of 56% to $46.7 billion and a net income increase of 59% to $26.4 billion. Despite these strong numbers, the data center segment fell short of Wall Street’s $41.3 billion estimate, leading to a 3% drop in stock prices post-earnings announcement.
As of October 2023, Nvidia holds a staggering market cap of over $4.4 trillion, surpassing that of Microsoft by $600 billion. Looking ahead, Nvidia anticipates third-quarter revenue of $54 billion, representing a 51% year-over-year increase. However, relations with China pose challenges, as the country has encouraged its companies to avoid purchasing Nvidia’s AI chips, despite a recent arrangement allowing for sales with a 15% tax.
