Nvidia’s AI Infrastructure Growth Forecast

Nvidia’s CEO, Jensen Huang, projected that global spending on AI infrastructure could reach between $3 trillion and $4 trillion by 2030. This statement was reiterated at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference last week, where he emphasized the accuracy of his previous predictions. In the second fiscal quarter of 2027, which ended July 26, Nvidia reported a 106% year-over-year revenue increase, and management anticipates 70% growth for fiscal 2028.

Nvidia, which has expanded its offerings beyond GPUs to include entire supercomputers, has witnessed its revenue grow over 1,000% since the rise of generative AI with OpenAI’s ChatGPT. As it continues investing in partnerships and acquisitions, like the $12.9 billion purchase of Hugging Face, Nvidia is positioned for substantial future growth in the AI sector.
