Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) is holding its AI conference this week, where CEO Jensen Huang revealed that the company expects to surpass $1 trillion in revenue from its data center products by 2027. This prediction comes on the heels of a prior forecast of $500 billion in orders for 2023 and 2026. The anticipated revenue growth is fueled by Nvidia’s expansion from being primarily a chip manufacturer to offering entire AI systems tailored for various industries, including healthcare and telecommunications.
Nvidia’s revenue surged by 65% last year, exceeding $215 billion. The company is also preparing for the launch of its new Vera Rubin system, comprised of seven chips designed to enhance AI performance and efficiency. While Nvidia shares have seen a 1,200% increase over the past five years, recent market headwinds have caused some fluctuations, which Huang believes are temporary as demand for AI technology remains strong.
