Jim Cramer Stands Behind Elon Musk’s Ketamine Use

Jim Cramer Supports Musk’s Decision

Elon Musk, the visionary CEO of Tesla Inc., has found an unexpected ally in Jim Cramer for his use of prescription ketamine. The outspoken “Mad Money” host lent his support to Musk amidst public scrutiny over his remarks on the benefits of using the drug.

Backing Musk: Cramer stepped in to defend Musk after the tech mogul revealed his utilization of prescription ketamine to manage “chemical tides” that often manifest as symptoms akin to depression.

“Isn’t it a shame? Here is an individual who openly acknowledges his battle with depression, openly expresses the benefits he derives from a drug that has transformed countless lives, and yet he faces harsh criticism?”

Cramer passionately advocated for Musk, underscoring that many individuals lack the courage to disclose their use of such medication, despite its life-changing effects.

Musk, in an act of gratitude, publicly thanked Cramer and proceeded to elucidate his rationale behind divulging his ketamine usage.

“In sharing my ketamine experience (with some personal risk), my intention was to offer solace to those grappling with periods of depression.”

Furthermore, Musk posited that ketamine could potentially present a superior alternative to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), conventional antidepressants that sometimes induce undesirable side effects, leading individuals to feel “zombified.”

Significance: During an interview with former CNN anchor Don Lemon, Musk defended his ketamine consumption by emphasizing that the crucial aspect remains whether he is enhancing the value for investors.

“From an investor’s viewpoint, if I find something beneficial, I must continue its use.”

Reports on Musk’s substance use and sporadic behavior reportedly sparked apprehension, prompting Linda Johnson Rice, a former Tesla director, to resign from her position and forego reelection to the board.

It is purported that Rice informally urged the board to scrutinize Musk’s drug consumption.

In contrast, Musk has vocally supported ketamine and psychedelics in the past, asserting their superiority over pharmaceutical remedies.
