**Market Seasonal Patterns Indicate Major Shift Ahead**
TradeSmith CEO Keith Kaplan shared insights during the “Breakthrough 2026” event attended by over 16,000 viewers, highlighting that a bullish seasonal window for the S&P 500 is set to close on July 23. Historical data collected over 18 years shows that seasonal trades yielded a total growth of 857%, significantly outperforming the S&P 500.
Kaplan warned that this closing window coincides with earnings reports from major companies like Tesla, Apple, and Amazon, which could lead to heightened market volatility. Additionally, he pointed out that the upcoming second year of the presidential cycle historically sees a downturn in the market, as around 70% of U.S. bear markets initiate within the first two years of a president’s term. Investors are advised to prepare for potential volatility in the second half of the year.
