Ciena Corporation (CIEN) and NetApp, Inc. (NTAP) reported exceptional earnings this week, each surpassing estimates and raising their future revenue guidance. Ciena’s fiscal third-quarter report revealed adjusted earnings of $2.11 per share, a 215% increase from the previous year, with revenues hitting a record $1.67 billion—up 37% year-over-year and exceeding expectations of $1.64 billion. Demand from cloud providers surged 82%, and the company raised its fiscal 2026 revenue guidance to approximately $6.42 billion.
NetApp’s fiscal first-quarter results also showed strong performance, with revenues of $2.02 billion—up 30% year-over-year—beating estimates by nearly 10%. Adjusted EPS reached $2.58, a 66% increase, while Hybrid Cloud revenue rose to $1.82 billion. Management raised its fiscal 2027 revenue guidance to between $7.98 billion and $8.23 billion, reflecting robust growth that positions both companies to capitalize on the booming AI infrastructure market.
