On the trading floor today, notable activity was reported in the options market for several key stocks in the S&P 500 index. Amazon.com Inc (AMZN) saw significant options trading with 421,048 contracts exchanged, equating to approximately 42.1 million underlying shares. This trading volume represents 90.9% of AMZN’s average daily volume of 46.3 million shares over the past month. The $215 strike call option expiring March 23, 2026, attracted the most interest with 32,306 contracts traded.

NVIDIA Corp (NVDA) registered a robust 1.6 million options contracts traded, representing about 163.1 million underlying shares, or 81.4% of its average daily volume of 200.4 million shares. The $180 strike call option for NVDA, also expiring March 23, 2026, recorded 149,489 contracts traded, corresponding to 14.9 million underlying shares.

Palantir Technologies Inc (PLTR) experienced options trading of 364,875 contracts, amounting to around 36.5 million underlying shares, which is approximately 73.4% of its average daily volume of 49.7 million shares. The $160 strike call option expiring March 27, 2026, was particularly active with 38,115 contracts traded, representing about 3.8 million underlying shares.
