Nordson Corporation (NASDAQ:NDSN) reported record fiscal third-quarter sales of $818 million, a 10% increase from $742 million during the same period last year, driven by broad-based organic growth across its segments and a 35% year-over-year increase in backlog. Adjusted earnings per share reached a record $3.25, up 19% from $2.73 a year earlier, exceeding company guidance.
The company recorded an adjusted operating profit of $226 million, representing 28% of sales, while EBITDA also hit a record at $262 million, or 32% of sales. Notably, free cash flow for the quarter was $237 million, translating to a 144% conversion rate of net income, positioning Nordson with $113 million in cash and a net debt of approximately $1.6 billion.
For fiscal 2026, Nordson raised its sales outlook to between $3.035 billion and $3.075 billion, along with expected adjusted diluted EPS of $11.80 to $12.00. The company anticipates that over 80% of its backlog will convert to revenue within six months, reflecting sustained order strength across its Advanced Technology Solutions and Medical and Fluid Solutions segments.
