Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. announced plans for a new 50,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Bristow, Oklahoma, to produce GEK turbojet engines, particularly the GEK800. The facility is projected to expand to 100,000 square feet and will support up to five production lines with an annual output of 500 engines. The facility is expected to be operational by mid-2026 and will generate around 60 initial jobs, with further job growth anticipated as production ramps up.

Key features of the facility include three test cells for small engines, expected to be operational by 2027, supported by grant funding from the State of Oklahoma. This investment reflects Kratos’ commitment to high-performance propulsion systems amid increasing defense demands.

Governor Kevin Stitt highlighted the project’s significance for boosting local employment and national security capabilities, underscoring Oklahoma’s role as a hub for defense manufacturing.
