Closing the first quarter on March 31st, Lucid proudly delivered 1,967 vehicles, surpassing Visible Alpha’s forecast of 1,745. While this figure falls short of the estimated 2,123 vehicles due to a decline from the previous quarter’s output of 2,391 vehicles, Lucid’s strategic move to reduce prices on its flagship Air sedans by 1% to 10% in response to shifting consumer preferences towards more affordable hybrids amid high interest rates turned out to be a masterstroke. Lucid has set a new benchmark for premium EV experiences. The company also unveiled plans in February to introduce a mid-size car in late 2026, catering to a broader audience with a competitive $50,000 price point, thereby gearing up to challenge Tesla in the Model Y segment. Not to mention, its luxury sedans are already pitting against Tesla’s Model S range.
