In early trading on Thursday, Caterpillar shares surged by 4.5%, making it the top performer among Dow Jones Industrial Average components. Year-to-date, the company has achieved an impressive gain of 81.5%.
Conversely, Apple is currently the worst performer, down 4.4%, although it has a year-to-date increase of 3.0%. Other Dow components include Amazon, declining 2.8%, and Honeywell International, which is up 2.7%.
