Amgen Shines While Microsoft Struggles on Dow Jones Today

Amgen leads the Dow, though year-to-date losses remain concerning

During early trading on Friday, Amgen emerged as one of the best performers within the Dow Jones Industrial Average, showing a rise of 1.9%. However, it is important to note that Amgen has faced a decline of about 7.6% year to date.

In contrast, Microsoft stands out as today’s worst performer in the Dow, with shares falling by 1.4%. Despite this decline, Microsoft has gained 14.5% so far this year.

Today also saw movement from two other Dow components: Amazon.com, which is down 1.2%, and Goldman Sachs Group, which rose by 1.4%.
