Market Highlights: 3M Leads Gains, Verizon Struggles in Early Trading
On Tuesday morning, 3M Company (MMM) emerged as a top performer among the Dow Jones Industrial Average, with shares climbing 2.4%. This marks a remarkable year-to-date gain of 51.1% for the company.
In contrast, Verizon Communications (VZ) ranked as the day’s weakest performer, dropping by 6.0%. Despite this decline, Verizon still holds an 8.9% gain for the year.
Other notable movements include Home Depot (HD), which saw a decrease of 2.1%, while Microsoft (MSFT) managed to rise by 0.8% during the same trading session.
